Systems is in search of a Senior Supplier Quality Engineer with a
primary focus in Electrical Assemblies and Electronics. In this
position as a Senior Supplier Quality Engineer (Senior SQE), you
will report into the Procurement Quality Support Engineering (PQSE)
group. In this role, you'll be responsible for
electrical/electronic assembly supplier quality interactions on a
given set of programs. You'll investigate, evaluate, and resolve
supplier quality problems by conducting defect investigations,
analyzing defect trends, and leading continuous improvement
projects. You'll lead and conduct containment efforts, maintaining
traceability of actions and delegating accordingly, to ensure the
swift containment of supplier non-conformances. Additionally,
frequent interaction and status reporting to internal and external
customers will be required. As a Senior SQE, you'll support
multiple projects to completion, in support of the overall program.
This position entails the enforcement of purchase order (PO)
requirements, supplier non-conformance management and supplier
performance improvement, including thorough root cause analysis and
effective corrective action. The Senior SQE will mentor junior SQEs
to further their development within the team. Overall duties
include:
- Evaluating the impact of nonconforming product and assessing
suppliers' corrective actions.
- Championing problem solving and root cause analysis activities
with suppliers to eliminate recurrence of non-conformances.
- Evaluating First Article Inspections per the AS9102
requirements. Working with suppliers to meet BAE System's
requirements.
- Evaluating First Article Test plans and reporting for execution
and approval.
- Driving "Zero Defect" mentality within the supply base and A3
problem solving tool practices.Note: This role supports 100%
on-site.Required Education, Experience, & Skills
Typically requires a Bachelor's
Degree in an Engineering or technical related field of study and 4
years related work experience, or the overall equivalent.Hands-on
experience or ability to work within the manufacturing process of
Electronics and/or Electrical Assemblies.Excellent communication
skills including written, verbal, and presentation
generation.Strong working knowledge of mechanical drawing
interpretation and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerances
(GD&T).Strong working knowledge of Failure Analysis, Root Cause
Analysis, and Corrective/ Preventative Actions.Working knowledge of
ISO 9001 and AS9100 Quality Systems and AS9102B First Article
Requirements or comparable industry standards.Practical problem
solver.Computer skills to include MS Office Suite and related
industry software applications.Preferred Education, Experience, &
Skills
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical
Engineering.Experience in Defense Prime Contract
environment.Experience with product line validation, test plans,
test equipment and product qualification.Specific experience with
electrical assemblies for the Defense Industry.Knowledge of Lean
Six Sigma concepts and tools (e.g. Green / Black Belt).Toyota
Production System (TPS), Toyota Way, A3 problem solving tool.Pay
InformationFull-Time Salary Range: $75510 - $128340Please note:
This range is based on our market pay structures. However,
individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors
including, but not limited to: business considerations, local
market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate
qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience. Employee
