efficiency.What does the job look like?The General Manager,
Business Development will be a senior leader of the Business
Development Team in identifying strategic growth opportunities. As
a key member of the BevChain leadership team, this role is
responsible for driving new business through key tender submissions
and effective client onboarding strategies to achieve revenue
growth targets.This includes establishing and managing strong
relationships with both internal and external stakeholders,
fostering collaboration across teams to align business development
strategies, building and maintaining key client partnerships, and
ensuring seamless communication to support long-term growth,
retention, and overall business success.Key Areas:
- Identify, evaluate, and obtain market intelligence to achieve
business development targets, revenue, and EBIT plans.
- Establish and build a strong customer and revenue pipeline,
ensuring the business has the capacity and resources to support
sustainable growth.
- Drive continuous improvement and innovation by developing
solutions that address customer needs and create new business
opportunities.
- Manage team resources and internal stakeholders to ensure
strategic priorities deliver measurable and sustainable
results.
- Lead teams in the implementation and onboarding of new
accounts, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction and
engagement.
- Monitor and report on financial performance, providing variance
analysis and revised projections against budget expectations.Are
you the one?To achieve revenue growth targets, you will drive
strong operational engagement and implement effective solutions
backed by thorough commercial analysis. As a passionate leader, you
will inspire, motivate, and hold your team accountable to deliver
on strategic objectives. You can demonstrate:
- Minimum 10 years in a Senior Management role within the
Transport and Logistics or similar industry.
- Extensive Supply Chain operational experience in a medium to
large private sector organisation managing people, financials,
customers, and contracts.
- Proven success within business development with a strong record
of delivering business growth.
- Strong capability in managing key customer relationships and
fostering strategic partnerships.
- Strong commercial acumen to enable business opportunity
assessment and viability.
- Strategic thinking, planning, and analysis, with the ability to
develop creative solutions to support the delivery of the business
plan.
- Ability to work with complexity and ambiguity, coupled with
strong problem-solving capabilities stretching across the full
